Fall is the season that sneaks up on me the most. The mornings turn crisp before you're ready, the light gets softer, pumpkins start showing up on every stoop, the first sweater comes out of storage, something's always baking in the oven, and the leaves turn right when I’m not ready to let go of summer yet. Suddenly the whole neighborhood smells like someone's fireplace and everything just feels a little cozier.

Fall asks a lot of us too though. School starts back up, routines reset, and somewhere in that chaos we're supposed to put in the effort to make the season feel extra cozy and special.

so, where do you start?

My challenge to you is to make this the coziest fall yet (without adding much more to your plate). Here are four things you can do right now:

  • Let someone else handle the porch this year. I'm taking on a fewfull custom fall porch styling installs, sourced and styled by me, plus a lighter mini option perfect for a cozy front-step refresh.

  • Get a cozy smelling candle and some luxury matches to get in the fall spirit. I am also a big fan of the candle warmer lamp

  • Save room for something sweet. Pumpkin cookie cakes are joining the lineup this year, more details soon.

  • Go apple picking before the season gets crowded. Honeycrisps (my favorite) are in season at the end of August. Here are some of my favorite places to go picking:

Fall goes by fast every year, but it doesn't have to blur past you. Start with one cozy thing this week, and let it lead to the next.
